Purpose of Role
The FCM Clearing Operations Intern supports daily trade processing, reconciliation, and settlement activities across a variety of financial products. The role involves reviewing operational data for accuracy, assisting with control and risk‑mitigation processes, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams. Through hands‑on exposure to back‑office systems and clearing workflows, the intern contributes to efficient trade execution and overall operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- Assist with trade processing and clearing activities across various financial products.
- Support daily reconciliation of trades and transaction records.
- Review operational data for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in settlement processes to ensure timely and correct execution.
- Contribute to control functions and risk mitigation efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support client service.
- Gain exposure to back-office systems and clearing workflows.

- To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.

Skills and Experience:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance is preferred but accounting, actuarial science, business administration, business analytics, economics, political science, and risk management are accepted.
• Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.
