Marex appoints Head of APAC

Marex has today announced the appointment of Arthur Fan as Head of Asia Pacific (APAC). In this newly created role, Arthur is responsible for the management and growth strategy in the APAC region, with a particular focus on China and Australia.

Arthur, who also joins the management team, starts on 10 January and reports to Ian Lowitt, Marex CEO. Developing Asia Pacific is a stated part of Marex’s growth strategy, with more than 70 employees currently based out of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.

Based in Singapore, Arthur was previously Managing Director and Global Head of Commodities at BOC International (BOCI). He was also the CEO and founder of the UK subsidiary of BOCI.  Prior to BOCI, Arthur worked at Sumitomo Corporation Equity Asia, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting/BearingPoint, and SAP, Hong Kong. He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a degree in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong.
