Marex expands FX and precious metals prime brokerage with new aggregated liquidity platform

Marex Group Limited (‘Marex’ or the ‘Group’; NASDAQ: MRX), the diversified global financial services platform, has expanded its prime services capabilities with the launch of a proprietary aggregated liquidity platform.

This latest development builds on Marex’s wider FX and precious metals capabilities. The platform gives hedge funds, asset managers and professional clients access to multi-dealer FX and precious metals liquidity through a single global prime brokerage relationship.

By combining liquidity from multiple providers into a single access point, Marex’s prime services clients can benefit from deeper liquidity, more competitive pricing, streamlined execution and seamless workflow integration, while also supporting cross-asset margin efficiencies across Marex’s broader prime brokerage platform.

At the core of this expanded offering is an aggregated pricing engine that consolidates live streams from multiple tier-one and specialist liquidity providers into a single executable price. This removes the need for clients to establish numerous bilateral relationships. In addition, smart-order-routing-style execution enables anonymous access to multiple liquidity pools to achieve the best available pricing.

Beyond execution, the platform is designed to improve capital efficiency. Through portfolio-level cross-margining, clients can benefit from improved capital usage and balance-sheet efficiency as well as access to FX and precious metals liquidity, custody, clearing, settlement, confirmation and reconciliation through a single counterparty. The platform also supports integrated reporting and workflow connectivity across Marex’s broader equity, fixed income, futures and derivatives infrastructure.

Massimo Labella, co-head of international prime brokerage and outsourced trading, Marex said: “This offering strengthens our position as a cross-asset prime brokerage partner for institutional clients seeking liquidity, capital efficiency and operational simplicity. As with the expansion of our swaps capabilities and the addition of FX to our outsourced trading offering, it was developed in response to client demand, reflecting our focus on building solutions that deliver tangible value for clients.”
