We are immensely proud of our energy desks, who with the support of their clients, raised an extraordinary $1.5 million on 12 February for a colleague’s experimental cancer treatment. Our colleague Hope Stringer, a 27-year old gas broker, and hugely popular member of the team, is fighting soft tissue sarcoma. We wanted to do something material to help Hope, but it is not often that you can make a difference in a meaningful way and on Tuesday our energy team, with the superb support of our clients and other market participants, did just that.
