Marex Spectron Launches UK Equity Market Making Franchise

Marex Spectron, the global commodities specialist, today announced the launch of a new UK-focused equities market making franchise to cover AIM, small and mid-cap stocks, and investment trusts.

Launched at the start of the year, the franchise provides liquidity to institutional clients, wealth managers and brokers across approximately 500 stocks. This eight-strong team, which will be expanded during 2021, reports to Simon van den Born, President of Marex Spectron.

The expansion into equity market making follows the firm’s acquisition in November 2020 of X-Change Financial Access (XFA), the fast-growing exchange traded equities derivatives brokerage, based in North America.
