Tommy Bain elected as Chairman of LME Warehouse Committee

Marex’s Head Warrant Trader, Tommy Bain, has been elected as Chairman of the London Metal Exchange (LME) Warehouse Committee.

This represents all 28 LME registered warehouse companies worldwide (America, South Korea, Japan, UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Sweden, UK, and the Netherlands).

Marex is a leading participant in the metals market, offering market making and clearing services to its global client base. It is also a Category One member of the LME.

Tommy joined Marex in mid 2021 from Engelhart, where he ran the aluminium hedge book and prop trading. He has over 30 years’ experience in the metals industry, having worked for the likes of Barclays, Sucden and Credit Lyonnais and was a ring trader in 1993. He started at Refco in September 1990.
