Role Summary
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Operations Client Support team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing client funds and positions with a strong focus on compliance with exchange regulations and CASS (Client Assets) requirements.
The ideal candidate will not only bring a keen eye for detail and a client-first mindset but also a solid foundation in coding. Your technical skills will be key in identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, solve problems creatively, and drive process improvements across the team.
Department description
London Operations serves as support to its’ many and varied clients and sales teams across the globe, assisting mainly, but not limited to Listed ETD, Cash and Foreign Exchange transactions. Working in shifts, we provide cover throughout London working hours, managing challenging and fast paced mail-boxes, whilst maintaining a high level of awareness to the many risks that present themselves.
We maintain a constant awareness of our regulatory requirements and ensure adherence at all times.
Overall Responsibilities
- Managing client positions across Marex cleared accounts and accounts with other clearers.
- Posting internal cash transfers within sub accounts alongside requesting foreign exchange executions when required.
- Helping to categorise incoming mail in a fast-paced environment.
- Assistance with logging and sending of client audit requests.
- Review of internal processes and procedures.

- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

- To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
- To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.
- To escalate risk events immediately.
- To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience
- A 2:1 degree or equivalent, coupled with a strong academic track record*.
- A recent graduate or final-year student.
- Analytical skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Proven success with coding in Python and/or SQL is essential.
- Any exposure to C# is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
