Purpose of Role:
Marex is seeking an Equity Operations support who will be part of a team responble for two primary business lines – Equity Brokerage and Equity Prime Brokerage Desks. The Brokerage business is well established while Equity Prime Brokerage is rapidly growing. Both are support primarily on vendor systems with Broadridge and BAML being the two most used. The team also supports a variety of OTC products traded via a SEF (Swaps Execution Facility).

The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.
Operations is first and foremost a control function. As such the Equity Brokerage Trade Support team must ensure controls are followed and always evaluated for improvement. The staff will be expected to work on both the daily work as well as putting in place the framework for any new products or initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Process all equity and option transactions including life cycle events (exercises and assignment, corporate actions, etc.).
- Utilize our Middle Office systems to process various trade flows.
- Identify and clear breaks prior to open of the market and work with Broadridge team to process End-of-Day actions.
- Perform End of Day checkouts or reconciliations for various products or trade flows.
- Adhere to and propose improvements to control framework for the support of the business.
- Work with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Compliance, IT and Operations to support BAU (business as usual).
- Process client pass through fees
- Send monthly Swap execution invoices to clients
- Invoice collection and payment allocation
- Floor brokerage invoice reconciliations.
- SEF (Swaps Execution Facility). trade processing for OTC Swaps.
- Support the set up of new customer or street-side accounts
- Perform and evidence the performance of daily controls
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with

Skills and Experience
- At leaset (1-5) One to five years’ experience in a Financial Institution required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- FINRA Series 99 strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting Equities and/or Options required
- Experience with DTC/NSCC and OCC.
- Working knowledge of Broadridge BPS strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting Equities/Options.
- Understanding of trade life cycle events strongly preferred.
- Ability to document procedures and controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year plus discretionary bonus
