Purpose of Role:

Marex is seeking a Director of Agricultural Sales (Grains) who is an experienced, strategic, diligent, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for a portfolio of Grains Futures and Options products. Senior/Intermediate level position with the ability to work autonomously, and also as part of a team and directly engage with clients. Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and find new ones to bring flow.

The Agricultural department is one of the largest and most experienced agricultural teams in the market, with established teams in London, New York, and Chicago. This includes RCG, which has been one of the mainstays on the Chicago exchange trading floors since 1923.


  • To market Ags listed execution and clearing business through the Americas, most notably in North America.
  • Actively seek and acquire new business and new clients for the Ags execution and listed business.
  • Act in sales capacity and act in the best interest of clients in accordance with regulatory duties.
  • Support senior brokers in admin and client related tasks (including client entertainment and traveling).
  • Distribute information to client base in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct
    • Carrying out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial and MSIL trading books
    • Liaising with clients in the Americas; clients include banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional, trading houses and other trading boutiques
    •  To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
    • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
    • To escalate risk events immediately
    • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements and knowledge of an Ags product area.
  • Experience of the infrastructural support required to efficiently support Ags business lines
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • Knowledge of the underlying products at Marex within the Ags remit.
  • Numerically literate. Able to reason and solve real world mathematical problem.
  •  Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Language skills – English is required, Portuguese, and Spanish are preferred.
