CSC Environmental desk is a high growth team within a much larger and more established business in Marex. The existing network and infrastructure provided by our parent entity provides the right candidate with the ideal opportunity to progress quickly in a fast-paced environment.
This role covers the function within the CSC Environmental department.
Role Summary
A reliable and detail-oriented Trading Operations Support professional to assist with the daily operational processes involved in trading activities. This role supports the Environmental Sales Trading desk, ensuring smooth execution of contracts, deliveries, and financial documentation, while maintaining accurate records and supporting internal systems.
Responsibilities
Contract Support: Review and compare incoming contracts against existing agreements. Draft initial versions of contracts and handle basic correspondence. Ensure contract data is accurately entered into internal systems.
Delivery Coordination: Monitor deliveries to ensure they meet contractual terms. Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve delivery issues. Input delivery data and escalate any discrepancies.
Invoice Processing: Enter invoice data into internal platforms. Review incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness. Support resolution of invoice-related issues with finance and counterparties. Track and follow up on payment and settlement processes.
System & Data Entry: Maintain and update trading-related data in internal systems and platforms. Ensure timely and accurate data entry across contracts, deliveries, and invoices. Support reporting and audit preparation through clean data management.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, trading, research, and risk management, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of client solutions. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing clear and timely information on market developments and trading activities.
Skills and Experience
- Educational background in business, finance, economics, or a related field, with an understanding of commercial processes and operational workflows.
- Prior experience in trading operations or administrative support is a plus.
- Analytical and problem solving, ability to analyze data, identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic office tools.
- Comfortable working with internal systems and operational platforms to support trade processes, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy. Quick to learn new tools and adapt to evolving workflows.
