Purpose of Role:

Marex is seeking a Trading Desk Specialist supporting our XFA business.  This individual will need to be a highly analytical thinker with strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced trading floor environment while supporting large trade orders and providing accurate information to clients. Series 7 license is preferred.

X-FA, a division of Marex, serves as our customer’s agent throughout the institutional trade execution process and is the largest floor broker team on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe). With X-FA, customers benefit from access to deep liquidity pools from market maker groups, proprietary trading units and investment banks. Operating across three continents our clients include global financial services firms, hedge funds, and institutional investors as well as commodity trading advisors (CTAs) and market makers. X-FA provides anonymity through our vast channels of liquidity both electronically and open outcry.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for agency trading, handling large customizable option orders, and soliciting market liquidity.
  • Batch orders and build tools to deliver quick and accurate information to customers.
  • Responsible for monitoring the back side trading and ensure trades are reconciled without any breaks.
  • Handle position reconciliation and maintain reports for trade positions.
  •  Act as a liaison between brokers, traders, and dealers to ensure trading and operations run smoothly.
  •  Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

    • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
    • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
    • To escalate risk events immediately
    • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

  • Required to obtain Series 7 within 6 months of hire.
  • Coding skills-VBA/Python, ability to adapt and build your own tools is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Salary Range:  $65,000 to $85,000 per year and eligible for discretionary bonus.
