Daniela Collins
Daniela describes her experience of life as a graduate at Marex.
Tell us a bit about your background:
I graduated from Lehigh University with a double major in Finance and Marketing. Before joining Marex’s graduate program, I interned in the New York office for two summers. I supported the Chief of Staff, Corporate Affairs team, Capital Markets COO team, and my current team, Prime Brokerage.
What’s your role at Marex?
I’m working with the Prime Brokerage team on the Client Services Desk.
Describe a typical day in your role:
In the mornings, I send out start-of-day reports for our self-clearing and derivatives clients and review breaks with Pershing on traded-away domestic and international trades. While I have core daily responsibilities, every day varies as I’m typically involved in a range of projects. For example, I’ve completed internal analyses on commission rates and supported the automation of commission management processes to improve efficiency.
What is your favourite thing about your role?
I love working with my team. I’ve had the opportunity to shadow different people across the Prime group, which has broadened my understanding of the business and how our team supports Marex. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this graduate cohort.
