Marex wins Energy Risk awards

Marex has won two highly prestigious awards at the 2023 Energy Risk Awards: Commodity Broker of the Year and Base Metals House of the Year.

These industry-leading awards, which were held in Houston on 11 May, are now in their third decade and ‘recognise excellence in financial risk management across the commodities sector’.


Commodity Broker of the Year: ‘[Marex] supported its clients by providing constant market liquidity across the commodities complex and extending credit to them. While others withdrew from the markets, Marex expanded its activities and grew its customer base.’

Base Metals House of the Year: [Marex] expanded its market reach, facilitating significant hedging programmes in Copper and Aluminium markets, issuing the first carbon neutral aluminium product and registering the best year for Marex’s metals desk in its 30-year history.’
