Our Social Initiatives

Women’s Affinity Network

Launched in April 2025 in response to employee feedback, the Marex Women’s Affinity Network provides an inclusive space for colleagues to connect, share experiences, and support professional development. Initially piloted in London, the Network quickly became an integral part of our culture of inclusion, with an oversubscribed launch event and the working group expanding from four to sixteen members.

A key achievement in 2025 was the VP Milestone Programme, an exclusive, invite-only initiative for recently promoted Vice Presidents in London. Developed with support from our CEO and Group Head of HR, and in partnership with a specialist in leadership development, this immersive, in-person experience reflects Marex’s values of developing our people and collaboration, helping participants build relationships that will continue throughout their careers.

The Network also delivered initiatives including the Maternity Companion Programme, New Joiner Programme, speaker events, and tableside career conversations. Following very positive employee feedback, it will expand to other locations in 2026.

FLIC Partnership

In 2025, Marex expanded its skills-based volunteering to create opportunities for colleagues to share their professional expertise with charitable partners. This allowed colleagues to build new skills and apply their existing skills in new settings. This year we have been partnering with the Financial Times’ Financial Literacy Inclusion Campaign (FT FLIC), whose mission is to promote financial literacy through free, accessible financial literacy learning materials tailored to a wide range of audiences. Marex is working on developing a financial literacy game that will allow beneficiaries of FLIC’s work to practice and test their financial literacy knowledge in an artificial investment environment.

This partnership has allowed us to support a meaningful cause, whilst also enabling Marex employees to develop their skills. By tackling new challenges in unfamiliar settings, our people are able to practice adaptability and creative thinking in a new setting.

“Working with FLIC has been rewarding from both a personal and professional perspective. Getting to work on a project outside of my usual scope has allowed to me to practice new skills and explore product design from a different standpoint.”

Partnership with Future Frontiers

Since 2022, Marex has partnered with Future Frontiers, a UK education charity, to help young people from under-resourced backgrounds build the skills, confidence, and connections they need to thrive in their future careers.

In 2025, Marex volunteers supported over 150 students, delivering 270 hours of one-to-one coaching and hosting the firm’s first intern cohort through the partnership.

This year, Marex and Future Frontiers expanded their reach with Sector Insight Days at Carshalton Boys Sports College and Langley Park School for Girls, designed to help students explore careers in finance and build essential employability skills.

At Carshalton Boys, 100% of pupils reported improved understanding of job roles and teamwork, while 94% said they felt more confident communicating with professionals.

At Langley Park, 93–100% of students agreed they gained greater awareness of career pathways and left inspired to explore opportunities in finance.

“It’s opened my eyes to careers I didn’t know existed.”

The partnership also continues to energise Marex employees, with 78 colleagues volunteering in 2025 across coaching, mentoring, and insight events. This year, we strengthened our partnership with Future Frontiers by offering, for the first time, three paid summer internships to students from the programme. The interns gained valuable insight into the work of our Corporate Affairs, Risk, and Operations teams at Marex. We aim to continue this initiative in 2026, providing similar opportunities to support students’ development and broaden their career horizons.

“It’s incredible to see our work have a direct impact on young people’s confidence — it reminds us why purpose matters.”
